![]() Although I don't often do that, so it's fine. However, things like shimming and all the maintenance work is a pain for me, so I off load that to the techs. In terms of fixing, I do that on my own, because it's actually easy. #OPLC HPA RULES UPGRADE#There are a few individual gun techs in my area that fixes and upgrade + building custom guns as a side job. I don't go to shops to get them "fixed", it cost way too much for simple jobs. Am I the only one who's dealing with this? Or are other gunshops as incompetent as these guys?Īre Repair shops even able to repair AEG's? Or are we expected to treat them like apple products, and throw them away every year (or whenever they stop working for no reason) and buy whatever is new? The story felt like a coverup, but whatever.Ī.By. #OPLC HPA RULES HOW TO#One of the clerks apologizes about the delay and seems to give me some story about how the tech needs to drill and tap a hole, and is trying to figure out how to do that without screwing anything up. A month goes by, it's now June, and I call again. Again, 2 weeks go by and I call only to find out the Tech hadn't looked at it yet (should I be surprised?). I took in the AEG in early May, and was given a 2 week turnaround time. Reluctantly, I knew I needed "Pro expertise" (I say that sarcastically), and I needed the gun as soon as possible for OPLC. So I tried, and I fixed it, but I screwed something else up in doing so. I googled it and as it turns out it's a common issue with my AEG, and there are even detailed steps to fix it. That night I send a message to Evike with my symptoms, and within 5 minutes someone had sent me back a message stating exactly what my problem was. After a month without communication, I finally call again and find out my AEG has been sitting around collecting dust because the tech couldn't figure it out, but I still had to pay $40 because he "Looked at it." I was originally told it would be a 2 week turn around time, but when I called at the end of the 2 weeks the tech hadn't even looked at it yet. So I left it there to be troubleshooted and repaired. Once that was fixed, I tested out my AEG and realized there was still more to be fixed. ![]() The first time they couldn't start the repair because they needed me to find and buy them the parts they needed. ![]() I've had enough with my local repair shop and need to see if this is a regular thing, or if this is just happening to me.īasically, I've had to bring in an AEG multiple times to this particular repair shop. ![]()
